The enterprise customers of the AWS cloud hosting services will get improved services with reduced latency and increased speed once the Ningxia data center will be operated.

Cloud hosting services and cloud computing infrastructure company AWS has announced that it is planning to start a new data center in China to cater the increasing demands of cloud hosting services. This announcement was made public on Friday, Feb 21, 2014.

The official statement further elaborated that the agreement contract has been signed between Amazon web services and the government of Ningxia. According to this agreement, the  cloud hosting giant will launch its tenth data center in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in Northwest China.

This agreement further illustrates the technicalities agreed between the both parties that containers loaded with the servers would be offloaded in the Zhongwie city at reaching the Western cloud base of the city.

The company statement further counted for many reasons for choosing this location situated in the Northwest of China; one of those reasons is the supportive weather. The weather in this region remains very cold in the winters that will reduce the air conditioning charges, and in summers, the weather remains very moderate.  Meanwhile, this area is the largest power producer of the country with four times of average country production. The prices of the energy are the lowest in the country. Thus, this data center would be very cost efficient for Amazon cloud hosting services in the region.

This is very important to note that Amazon Web Services AWS has signed MoU a few months back with the government of China to start the cloud hosting and cloud computing infrastructure provisioning in China. Meanwhile, the company has also signed service agreements with many local companies such as – ChinaNetCenter, Beijing Sinnet Technology, and others.

Prior to the official services from China mainland, the AWS used to offer its service from the data centers located in the USA, Europe and South Africa. After this state of the art data center, the AWS would be able to cater the increasing demands and quality of service in the region. The more workloads would be migrated from Beijing collocation to this data center. The speed and efficiency would be improved for their enterprise customers across the mainland of China and its neighboring countries.
